Schwan Orders

Just a reminder...Schwan Orders are due by Wednesday, April 28th. Turn order forms and money in at Holy Name Catholic School. Orders will be ready for pickup on Friday, May 7th from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM on the blacktop behind the school.

Congratulations

Congratulations to the Holy Name Catholic School Battle of the Book team. They traveled to Ark City on Wednesday, April 21st to compete with other Catholic School. Our students placed 2nd.

Generations of Faith

Generations of Faith will be Wednesday, May 5th at 6:30 PM. HSA will be hosting the dinner that evening. The main dish will be "tacos".

Father Ben will be the speaker that evening. Our topic this year has been apologetics.

All school families are invited to attend.

Spring Concert

Holy Name Catholic School Spring Concert will be Tuesday, May 4th at 7:00 PM in the gym.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week will be May 3 - 7.

MAP Testing

MAP Testing will be May 3 - 14 for grades Kindergarten - 6th grade.

May Crowning

May Crowning will be Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the 10:00 AM Mass.

Our next AR Assembly will be Friday, April 30th.

Free Dress Day

Those students who had sold their first 30 carnival tickets and turned in money by Friday, April 9th received a "free" free dress day coupon which was sent home on Tuesday, April 13th.

Present this coupon on Monday, April 26th to participate in Free Dress Day at no charge.

If you would like to participate in Free Dress Day and did not get a "Free" dress coupon, you may still participate in free dress day for $2.00. The $2.00 will go towards the Holy Childhood Association Mission fund.

Good Shepherd Sunday

Jesus knows and loves each one of us just like a shepherd with his sheep; he is the Good Shepherd who came to care for us and show us the way to everlasting happiness.

Good Shepherd Sunday is April 25th.

Kindergarten Roundup

Holy Name Catholic School Kindergarten Roundup will be Friday, April 23rd starting at 12:30 PM.

101 Ways to Stay Safe

Gail Norton will present to the 3rd and 4th grade students on Thursday, April 22nd at 11:00 AM. Her topic will be: 101 Ways to Stay Safe.

Wellness Committee Meeting

Holy Name Catholic School Wellness committee will meet on Wednesday, April 21st at 7:00 PM in St. Joseph's Room.

Mid Term Grades

Mid term grades will be sent home the week of April 19th.

Battle of the Books

Our Battle of the Books team will travel to Ark City on Wednesday, April 21st. This years Battle of the Books team includes: Marley Barnett, Denice Gonzalez, Emma Herkelman and Sindhu Venkat.

HSA

There will be an HSA meeting on Tuesday, April 20th at 7:00 PM in the gym. We will have a short music program that evening. Students in grades 1 - 6 will perform.

First Holy Communion Class of 2010

First Communion

First Communion will be Sunday, April 11th at 10:00 AM.

Family Reading Night

Family Reading Night will be Thursday, April 8th at 6:00 PM in the Holy Name Catholic School Gym. Please bring your favorite book to read.

Generations of Faith

There will be NO Generations of Faith on April 7th. Our next Generation of Faith will be Wednesday, May 5th at 6:30 PM.

Easter Sunday

The Risen Christ gives all people a new hope. It is truly a time for rejoicing. Our efforts with Catholic Relief Services' Operation Rice Bowl have also given hope and new changes to many of our sisters and brothers throughout the world. Even though our Lenten journey is over, our solidarity with the poor needs to continue all year long.
