Gifts for Baby Jesus

This year during the Advent season, we are planning on placing the “manger” in the hall (near the office) of the school starting on Monday, November 30, 2015. It will remind the students as they enter the building each day that we are preparing for the “birth” of Jesus Christ our Savior.

If students would like to bring baby gifts to place around the manger, they could do so as their gift to Mary and baby Jesus. They could bring socks, rattles, diapers, onesies, make a card, etc as possible gift ideas. Prior to dismissing for Christmas break, we would ask a representative from the Midwest Pregnancy Center here in Coffeyville to come to the school to accept the gifts that the students brought. The students can feel the joy of “giving” to others. 

Midwest Pregnancy Center will send a representative to Holy Name Catholic School on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 9:30 AM.
