Virtus -- September 11, 2012
The Protecting God's Children training program for adults is a three-hour awareness session that instructs adults on how to protect children, and that it succeeds only because of a continuous awareness and vigilance on the part of each of us.
This is a reminder that all volunteers in Catholic Schools must attend VIRTUS training. This includes any parent who will have any interaction with a child in a Catholic school. After attending the class, the only other requirement is to register online that you attended.
There will be a Virtus class on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 8:00 AM in Marian Hall.

Rosary
Starting Thursday, September 6th after the 8:15 AM Mass the 6th graders will lead the rosary. They will lead the rosary each Thursday after Mass. All are invited to come and pray the rosary with the students.

MAP Testing
Students in grades K - 6 will MAP testing September 4 - 14th. A schedule will be sent home to let you know which days your child will be tested.
Starting with the Fall 2012 testing the MAP tests will be aligned with the new Common Core State Standards.

Altar Server Training
Fr. Ben will be working with the Altar Servers on Wednesday, August 29th at 9:30 AM. Students in grades 3 - 6 will attend the Altar Server Training.
Boys/Girl Scouts
There will be a representative at Holy Name Catholic School from Boys/Girl Scouts on Tuesday, August 28th at 9:00 AM. Students in grades K - 6 will attend the assembly.
Pizza Hut
Coffeyville Pizza Hut will donate 20% of the total receipts turned in for Monday, August 20, 2012 to Holy Name Catholic School. Leave your paid receipts in the jar at Pizza Hut or drop it off by August 26, 2012 at the school office or in the jar at the church entrance.
